Tuscany

I have been to Camping Panorama (1999 and 2000)at Marcialla a small village near Certaldo that is about half way between Florence and Sienna. The main advantage of this site is its panoramic views central location for touring the area and the very friendly english speaking owner. Its listed under Poggibonsi (miles away) in the CC guide Vol 2. I never book anywhere but this site is popular (with Dutch) and not very big so either arrive early or ring ahead. As regards a route I would make my way through Belgium , Luxembourg Germany and Austria. This site closes end of September and I think that might be general in Italy. If you are interested in this route I could sugest some sites along the way

Regards

We stayed at San Gimignano this year for one week on Camping Boschetto di Piemma. It is in the CC book and Alan Rogers. The site is within walking distance of the town which is a 'must see' for Tuscany. If you go, have a meal in the 'Villa Mura' restaurant where, from the terrace, you get a wonderful view over the valleys. The town is perfect for touring Tuscany, with Florence and Sienna within easy reach.
