TV/DVD 12 Volt

I didn't want to spend the huge cost on a 12v unit so use a standard 230v TV/DVD through an inverter and a 110amp battery charged by solar panel, never had a problem,

I bought a cheap TV from Argos, which came with an external power supply converting 240v ac to 12v dc. I chopped the 12v lead off the power supply and fitted a caravan 12v connector to the lead and feed the TV direct from the van's 12v. A lot of people have done it and it works fine, but other people say you shouldn't do it as the vans 12v system goes up to 13.6v from the charger. We've not had a problem in the 3 years we've done it.
