tv points

Having read and fully understood the health and safety issues regarding not having any electrics, eg lights, switches ect in the gas locker, is it permissable to have a tv socket in the same locker as gas cylinders, the reason for this would be that it would allow me to connect the aerial without having to have the lead going through an open window.

That's what i have done.

I made the coax long enough to drop it through a hole i drill in the bottle box floor, when not in use i pulled it back into the bottle box.

I have my satellite cable entering the van the same way as the mains cable enters the van - via the battery box.

I've routed it through the grommet in the back of the battery box, which ends up under the front seats, round the front of the van (under the front locker), under the other settee and up to the TV. There's a small amount of cable showing - maybe a foot or so where it appears from behind the condensation board.

Coil up the excess to link it to the satellite, store it in the battery box and hey presto!

Works great and I can't see hardly any of the cable.

And no drilling or worrying about what should and shouldn't be in the front locker.

And....

The good thing about the cable entering via the battery box is that that the door has a cut-out for the mains cable which conveniently works for the co-ax cable too!

Huzzah!
