tyre pressures?

hi we have a 2007 sprite alpine 4 (just bought it) could anyone please give me an idea of the tyre pressures? we bought it from discover york wich have been great. the tyres were set at 40 psi when collected (still at that) but when i have looked through the manual there is no section in the book to check it against? has anyone got one of these?

would like to be sure for future reference.

thanks

Look at your tyres and note the maximum pressure and maximum weight marked on the tyre wall. Take the weight of the van and multiply it by a single tyre pressure and divide the result by the max weight for both tyres. Eg:- Tyres are 670Kgs at 65psi. Weight of van is 1220Kgs. Working 1220x65=79300 divide by (670x2) 1340 = 59lb psi.

On the weight plate on our Swift Charisma next to our door it gives the details of the tyres and also the tyre pressure. It gives my tyre pressure at 58 psi.

Have a look on

www.fogeysplace.co.uk/calculations/tyrepressures.html click the edit button top right, you need to know your max tyre load and max tyre pressure marked on your tyre, also max weight of van, enter details and pressure is calculated
