Unusual reg numbers

Just for a little light relief, I got to thinking about the unusual numbers I've noticed in my umpty nine years on the road.All of the following have been seen in South Wales in recent years.

(1)OBO 110X (look at it again!)

(2)APO110G (claimed he was the world's worst driver)

(3)HOR 5E (one for lisa?)

(4)HOU 5E (local estate agent)

(5)RMA 50N

(6)RHA 1G

Personally, I'd like EMR 50N,cos it's about as close as I can get to my name.Anyone beat these?

Hi Emmerson i would like the registration COL 1N (COLIN). I have been told that the DVLA has not issued this registration as yet. Max Bygraves has been told to name his price for MB 1 for the chairman of the Metal Box Co.

Bus / Coach owner I heard of bought BU5 2 LET and BU5 4 LET from DVLA for the minimum cost as they had not noticed the relevance.

As the was being paid for DVLA staff asked if he owned a BUS COMPANY. Knowing that they can withdraw anumber unitil the sale completes and up the price he Said "NO", card payment cleared and he had big smile on face I believe.

So if you find a good number combination at a good price do not shout or get to excited until you have it paid for.

about 25 years ago a man bought an old banger of a guy who thought he was being clever, the car was semi collectable but in very poor condition. The guy thought he was stitching the purchaser up a treat by keeping on about how rare the car was and asking

Colin, sorry to tell you this but those chaps at Swansea have been telling porkies to a fellow welshman!

COL 1 N is on a 2003 Rolls Royce Phantom V12 ,6749cc auto in silver.

Are they real Brian, it's just that the cars match the personality of each person perfectly. Except for Clive, but I don't suppose Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is still available....?

I suppose I could look for CRA 1 G, but I sort of think personal regs are a wee bit pointless. Everyone has different pleasures I suppose.

Yeah, right, like I would dare do that!

The Peugeot 406 happens to be a great looking car (eye of the beholder) and in diesel form, a right little go'er.

Now, is that a get "out of jail card" or am I getting into hotter water?

During the late 70s my uncle bought a sky blue VW Beetle so he could get the reg off it GEO but i cant remember the rest. The beetle was bit past its best but i remeber him being really chuffed with his purchase.
