It is turned into pure drinking water by forcing through a membrane with holes so small only water molecules can pass through. As for the solids .......you may still have to duck ;-)

The last time that the ISS will be visible for a while will be tomorrow evening at 9.56pm. We're off on a long weekend rally tomorrow so I'll try to remember to look out for it.
