Motorists have been told to place a common household towel over their steering wheels this weekend with the key component set to be “unbearable to touch” due to the weather.

Or use a reflective window shade and keep all the interior cooler?

I used to own an EP3 Honda Civic which had a metal gear stick knob; anyone familiar with that generation Civic would know, it sprouted from the dashboard, and was almost as high as the centre of the steering wheel. That thing would catch the sun, even on cool days, and got so hot, it was actually unbearable to touch. Sleeves, a cloth or a glove were hastily applied until it cooled down.

Temperature goes above 20C and you get all sorts of warnings and advice. Temperature goes below 10C you get all sorts of warnings and advice. Easier to ignore them and enjoy life! LOL!

I went to the storage site yesterday evening to get something out of the caravan. It was already dark when I arrived, but the gates were wide open. So much for security. I did lock them though when I left.
You see it's catching....

My stabilizer will not lock down over the hitchlock so driving whilst fitted is not an option.
