Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6 auto

Has anyone out there done an oil change on the auto box,if so how long did it take and was it straight forward, Ican only find the drain point but am having difficulty finding the top up point. ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY WELCOME

The auto gearbox fitted to Omega 2.0 doesn't have drain and refill points like a normal auto box. I'm not sure if the 2.5 Omega has the same box.

Contact a Vauxhall specialist, independents are cheaper than franchised.

Hi,

Just stumbled in to this web site !!

Autobox....simple...just drain it...sometimes have to be re filled via dip stick....

Not sure what oil/ quantity, just phone local friendly NON AGENT VX repairer..

cheers

steve

I used to have an automatic Cavalier and to change the transmission oil you had to drop the transmission sump (LOTS of ATF running up your sleeve!!!) then re-fill via the dipstick tube, but from memory, (when we had an Omega) there wasn't a dipstick for the transmission......

Anyway, if you do drop the sump make sure that you get no dirt whatsoever inside, automatic transmissions must be kept spotlessly clean inside.
