Vectra est Which one?

the v6 diesel is a storming engine as is the 2.7 petrol turbo version but economy on these is not too clever (a mate has the v6 diesel chipped up and only does mid 20,s solo lol)

but i would go for the 1.9cdti unit

available in different power outputs up to i think 150bhp so should be up to towing

Beware of the very low permissible towload of the 3 litre diesel automatic (only 1200kg) if you were thinking along those lines. The manual version would be a better alternative (1800kg). It's a shame that the automatic, which on paper sounds like the ideal towcar, suffers from such a low limit.

The tow weight is not 1200kg, it is 1400kg, at 85% it's 1353kg. This taken from Practical Caravan review. The Vectra 3.0l Elite auto was best family tow car of the year.
