Hi ok dont laugh now, we've just bought a brand new caravan...it's great it , our little home from home, so whats the problem i hear you say, well we've never had a caravan before, when we collected it, we were given a 'quick guide round'....and i mean quick... showing us how to hitch it onto the car...which i have to say my husband has mastered!! but to be truthful everything to do with the inside scares the hell out of me....now i'm no dummy but this really seems a little more compplicated that we first imagined, i'm sure once i get the hang of it it'll come very easy to us!But the manual is really quite terrifying......can someone please give me a quick step by step guide to what i should do when we first get to a site....and what to do when were leaving!!....your help and advice will be totally apprieciated! thanks...wannabeacaravanner!

We're about to collect our new Arizona from the dealers. As this is our first caravan can anyone tell us of any possible snags to look for before we leave the dealers. We thought "brand new caravan straight from manufacturer, would save us from any problems" but we have been hearing scary stories about damage and faults, please can anyone with a new Bailey help us with their experiences?

Go out and buy the Haynes Caravan manual,a very good book all about caravaning aspects, loading, pitching, towing etc. or have a look in the caravan magazine section of W.H.Smiths and just released is the (Caravan Buyer) magazine which is released once a year by Caravan magazine and gives all the information you need to start caravaning.

Hi Carol,

Teething troubles can be annoying. We bought our first Brand new van in Jan 06. It depends on the dealer of course but the vast majority of the them are superb and will help with any problems under warranty. So don't worry. You will feel a berk when you put an awning up for the first time of course as we all did and if you put it up on a windy day, you will provide the entire site with vast amusement!!! But there will always be someone who, having recovered from the laughter, will help you with it! so enjoy your years of caravanning- I have for 17 years and I ain't met anyone who caravanned who wasn't an all round good egg!

MERVE
