Having towed Caravans for over 50 years 6 berths ,4 berths, 2 berths I cannot see how a difference of 5kg on tow ball can cause a motor to vibrate only on acceleration. Being a motor trade involved family, I will still put the fault as being the tow car and the extra load being towed exaggerating the problem
The reported problem was not just when accelerating, As written its also when maintaining speeds of 45 to 50. So would seem to be when the engine was providing power as compared to coasting or braking.

I tend to agree that if the onset of any problem is triggered by only a 5kg nose load change, then that is far too sensitive, and it would be likely that if the speed were raised only by a few mph or the caravan went through a deep pothole the problem would likely reappear at the lower speed.

Quite simply we have no certainty about what is causing the problem, but in correspondence we have seen some factors come to light which are less than ideal. It's only right to make the OP aware of them.

Prof if you go back and read original post is at 45 to 50 when accelerating not there when lifting foot off,
For clarity this is exactly what the OP wrote:-

"any thing above 45/50 mph I get vibration when I have my foot on the accelerator but when I don't it is smooth no vibration"

He does not say vibrations only occurs when he is accelerating! You need your foot on the the accelerator to accelerate and to maintain speed. He specifically says the vibration stops when his foot is not on the accelerator. This implies the vibrations only arise at or above 45/50 and when the outfit need the engine to feed power to maintain speed or to accelerate.

Splitting hairs. When taking foot off, thus reducing load on engine, vibrations goes. Very clearly stated. I can give and answer without an Essay,

I used to get a judder/vibration when engine was under load as the car tyres had worn unevenly - Stay with me.

After some back and forth I found out that the Haldex All Wheel Drive system was sensitive to the slight variance in tyre diameter, like 1-2cm, caused by new rears and part-worn fronts. Keeping the tyres rotated and of similar wear stopped this. But AFAIK, X-Trail had selectable 4 and 2 wheel drive, not a Haldex system.

Assume you mean 1-2mm variation in tread depth. 🙈
