I currently tow with a Volvo 850 T5. However, I have just bought a new 'van, picking it up next friday, (Pageant series 5). It weighs in at 1366kg, so I am looking at changing my towcar at some time in the future. I am looking at the S80 as you get a lot more for your money than an equivalent V70. Anyone tow with one of these and can give an opinion of what its like?

if your in the CC you can download previous tests, I remember reading one on the s80 petrol and they said it was a superb towcar but you had to be careful because it was so fast!
 
I don't think the S80 is any heavier than the V70, they are on the same floorpan with the same engines etc, and were developed at the same time.. The kit I believe is fairly similar as well, unless you find one with all the option packs.

There is also a new one due fairly soon, so prices may plummet for the old one. I would personally have the V70 and self levelling suspension.
