Volvo XC90 Towbar

Does anyone know if the parking sensors on a xc90 intefear with a towbar. Do i need the removable type or can i have a fixed bar. i have just changed from a V70 where i had a fixed towbar with a bumper protector. I would like the same on my new car but unsure about the sensors.

Until last week, I had an XC90 and had the detachable towbar fitted by the dealer just so that I did not catch my legs on the tow bar whenever I accessed the boot.

But I know a few people that have had fixed towbars with no problems, the sensors make a constant tone telling you to stop about 30cm away from the object.
