Hi

I am trying to fit al-ko jacking brackets on my van.

But have come up with a problem the wast pipes are too close to the point where the bracket is fitted to the chassis. Does anybody know if the ridged wast pipes are just push-fit or are they glued together?

Regards steve

Hi Steven

Not sure about the pipes but I had trouble with my Pageant 2007. A pipe was in the way of one bracket, right on the bend, I called Al-ko and after much discussion they agreed the bracket could be cut to the absolute minimum necessary for it to fit without disturbinig the pipe. I also talked to my caravan dealer who was going to put a query in with Bailey.

Thought this might help

Didn't you post on this a few weeks ago Stephen?

Search for 'Jaccking' (sic), on Technical.

Hi Steven,

On my 2003 Pageant Imperial the waste pipe from the kitchen sink is only push fit. The joint keeps coming apart, so I will be gluing mine together. i would get underneath and try and pull / twist them apart. You can't do any damage, I hope this helps you.

They are a push fit with rubber "thimbles"

I have to say that I haven't had them coming adrift so maybe that's down to progress!

Thank you

Now I know they're push fit. I can make the small adjustment to one of the pipes so it will allow me to fit the jacking bracket behind it.

Many thanks for your HELP.
