Hi all, Is it ok to have the water heater on (on electric) for the duration of the trip when we arrive on site?

Cheers

yes its only keeps water to a temp of about 70 its like a berko boiler.
Sorry St.Gump,

"Burko" Boilers actually boil the water caravan water heaters definitely should not boil the water. I never did like the Truma called their water heaters Boilers, they are only heaters

In terms of economy it is definitely better to switch off when it is not needed, in terms of convenience leave it on.

it is thermostatically controlled so it will cycle every so often even if no water is drawn off.
