Gary, the pressure switch needs to be set to come on as soon as a tap is opened, and shut off no more than 5 seconds after the tap is closed, but preferably 2 to 3 secs.

Trial and error is the only way to do it!!just adjust a little at a time.

Open a tap, so that you have a steady fow with no spluttering.Turn the pressure switch fully clockwise-the pump will continue to run. Close the tap. Turn the pressure switch knob anti-clockwise steadily until there is a click. Continue a turther 1/2 turn. This setting should be about right. The cold side should shut the pump off quickly, but allow longer say 10 secs for the hot side. A minor adjustment may still be required.

If you switch from mains to battery power (and vice-versa), expect to have repeat this process

I hope your switch is easily accessible-I moved mine for this reason

The pressure regulator is a flawed design - the pump pressure depends on voltage so you need to set the regulator using a flat(ish) battery without hook-up.

If you set the regulator using a hook-up, the battery voltage will be 13.8v from the power supply. If you then become reliant on just the battery, it'll only be 12.0-12.7v, which won't be enough to turn the pump off!
