Water System, Burstner Amara 1996

Hi All,

I am posting this on behalf of my Dad who has as a Burstner Amara. The water system doesn't work, he has replaced the pump with a new one after testing the old one by connecting it to a battery directly. When he tests the cable to the pump there is no power even when both taps are on, we suppose it is possibel that both micor switches have failed but it is unlikely. He has searched for fuses but can only find one 10 amp fuse located near the battery which is good.

I have searched to see if there is a wiring diagram or manual of any sorts online with no luck, would any one be able to help with either a manual or any idea why it isn't working?

Many thanks,

Scott

It may sound silly, but have you switched the selector switch to van and switched the pump switch on?

Thanks for the speedy reply, I don't know if he has or not, I'll phone him tomorrow and ask him, I know nothing of caravans, i'm posting of behalf of him, where would these switches be, if they are obvious i guess he would know as he's this is his third caravan.

There must be a 12v distribution point somewhere in the van.

Normally it is part of the main distribution point and has blade fuses for various applications.

It may be in a wardrobe or under a bed near the incoming mains cable.
