water wont come out of tap

im new to all this on panel lights are on for pump but no water comes out of tap used to make a whirring sound when it was on doesnt do taht anymore its a 1991 spectrum abbey please help a thirsty caravanman

Arran, check the pump connection to the van first, make sure you have 12v and the connections are clean and making good contact.

If nothing after that, it may be the pump is stuck, or has given up and needs replacing

sorry to be a pain damian but just to clarify the pump taking the water from the outside water tank is fine it just seems from the tank inside teh caravan to the tap is the problem like theres no pressure or something

Hi Arran,

Could it me the microswitches in the tap?

I believe it's quite common for them to fail.

Arran, if you have water coming out of the other taps, and the problem is limited yo just one tap, then as said, it may be the microswitch.

It may also be that there s a pressure switch which needs adjusting.

Failing that, check the pump fuse.
