week end

Hi

anyone got any ideas for somewhere this week end? Hubbys managed to get a couple of days off Fri/sun, ive tried a couple of cc sites but all are booked, one or two say to ring in the morning but does anyone know anywhere in Derbyshire or yorkshire thats good. if poss we would like walking distance to a pub or town/villiage but thats not essenstial, just toilet and hook up.

Any ideas welcome, thanks in anticipation

Try google Peaklands Cp or Jinglers Cp (same thing) they have 35 pitches of which 24 hardstanding and EHU it has recently changed hands to new owners who are looking to do it up with new toilet block but I understand stuck with old one at the moment the site is close to Ashbourne,Derbyshire.We are going Mayday and only interested in EHU not bothered about facilities and is handy for both Ashbourne and Carsington Water.

If you are a CC or C & CC memebr wht don't you trya CL or CS site. There must be one in your area that can take you. There usually cheaper and they would welcome your visit.

Have you tried Callow Top at Ashbourne the have half price pitches until 30 May, there is also Rivendale at Newhaven, Highfields at Fenny Bentley, Lognor wood at Lognor ( adults only),Lickpenny at Tansley all these are in my view good sites. I have just checked the CC website and Losehill at Castleton and West Ayton (scarborough) have pitches available, hope this helps
