Weird feeling!

Yesterday we were travelling from Worcester down to Burnham on Sea. We stopped at Sedgemore services for about 20 minutes. On leaving at about 3.30pm we could see no cars on the road so no issue entering motorway. The only other two cars that we could see on the motorway were the two cars that had left the services just behind us. It was like that all the way to the turn off and when crossing the bridge, OH could not see any other cars on the road. We assume an accident must have blocked the road after the Weston turn off.

We were a little behind you. And yes, I think there had been an accident just after Weston. It held us up for a short while, but I think the worst was over and it soon cleared for us.

We had similar last year, towing van back from Petherton Carnival weekend, awful thunderstorm, with some cars leaving the motorway to visit the embankment, we got on the motorway, and travelled north for approx 3 miles with nothing else around us, so then looked in mirror and saw blue lights, police car went straight past us, we got off at our junction and carried on home.
Assumed the motorway was close south of our entry junction but obviously traffic was allowed on to the motorway northbounda weird feeling for sure
