Wellington Country Park nr Reading.

This is a local park to us and we`ve used it quite a few times,

a.. to break the family into camping

b..to break in a new(??) unit.

Its not huge, very sheltered in amoung trees and way off the main road.

The main areas of Wellington Park close quite ealy leaving campers/caravaners with the run of the whole park.

During the day there are adventure playgrounds snack bars and miniture railway.

Good clean toilet block.

Pre booking a must realy as theres only about40 pitches

Come evening theres just tranquility and a few Dere who wander by the camping area.

Access is good via a locked gate and private road

Theres plenty of local pubs selling good food close by. Nearest shops are a fair distance away (4/5 miles).

Stratfield Saye house is the nearest attraction. The Vyne at Sherbourne St John being next nearest.

Both Reading and Basingstoke offer good shopping etc.

Enjoy it if you go ...we always do
