Weymouth saved!

If you have been to Weymouth since 2012, you will recall the palm trees on the promenade. In their infinite wisdom the council decided to remove the plants or palm trees as they were getting too big. A palm is actually a plant and not a true tree. However there was such an outcry from residents that they decided to keep the plants(trees). I think that without the palm tree plants the promenade would have looked a bit bare.

Thank goodness, town councils, listen to the people of the area, the councils are there and paid by the local people to do the what the people living in that area, want for that area. They are servants to the public.
