Whale heating

Ok...so I have foolishly left my Truma Ultraflow Water Pump Assembly out of the Aqua roll and left the pump switch on! Upon arrival on the next morning, the pump switch light was off and the fuse had blown. I have since replaced the fuse and the light on the switch is on, but the pump no longer works. At the same time the Whale blown air heater has stopped working! The fan works, but none of the heating settings work. I have checked all the fuses to no avail and completed a hard reset. Please can you advise how to resolve both issues?

The pump is an easy one, it has burnt out and needs a new one.
As far as the Whale heating goes, best bet is ring Whale and speak to them, they are very helpful.

The pump may well have burned out. Can you borrow one from someone to test?

If the Whale heater is the under the floor type ( or the same unit inside) the contol should hace a red and a green light built into it. With most faults the red will flash in one of a number of patterns, various number of rapid blinks the a pause then repeat. You count the number of blinks and then refer to the book ( or the website) to see the reason and possible cure.
The instructions need to be followed exactly.
I had various problems with such a heater on my last van and Whale were pretty helpful ( still under warranty). One thing they said would not work actually did, and that was to remove the 12v fuse for a short time then repace it. Presumably this allowed capacitors on the pcb to discharge fully and remove any memoery effect.
I'm surprised at the interaction between water and heating systems but who knows why they should not be totally distinct.

Ours went off and had no heating or hot water due to a power drop when i queried the red flashing light . The technician said something like 3 or 4 clicks on and off to the left or right should reset it .

Thanks for the advice. Would the pump be under the seat? Would it be a new ultraflow pipe?

The strange thing is that there is no light to indicate a fault. However, since yesterday when on a heating setting the blower comes on randomly but doesn't provide heating!

The 12v fuse? For what? I have removed all fuses and put them back in. Would I find this amongst the other fuses? I'm not very technically minded!

In light of your last comment and the failure of any of the suggestions so far made to rectify the situation, I am of the opinion that to take any self diagnosis or repair any further will require a modicum of technical knowledge and competency and perhaps access to more specialised diagnostic or test equipment.

I am not familiar with the product, but I will assume it has a gas connection, and as it is a legal requirement for work on domestic gas appliances must be carried out by a person the a current permit to work on them, it would be wise to refer it to a approved repairer.
