whale water connection

hi i have a whale connection hose type to my caravan push fit as in full service pitch first time i have used this, and it seems to be pushing off the end at the caravan and leaking a little, any one else came across this or is that just the way it is ?

You probably do not have the connector block pushed fully home. If you can't fold the cover flap over the block, then this is why. It does not leak in service.

If the O rings are dry , it is very difficult to push the connector on fully. Put a smear of lubricant on the little tube in the socket, and also over the 2 o rings on the block. (But not WD40). If you still have problems get the correct o rings from a dealer (in case it has the wrong size fitted) - they are quite a narrow cross section, and best changed each season. Keep spares as well

The pipe inside the connector to the van has a tendency to work loose inside the connector. Remove the two screws in the face of the connector to gain access and push the hose back on before reassembly. The problem is mostly caused by pulling the connector out by the hose instead of gripping the connector. Least it was in my case:-(
Hope this helps
