What a Driver

Hamilton didn't "bend" the rules to his benefit like Max does repeatedly. His lunge down the inside of Norris a couple of weeks ago in order to force Norris off the track was, to my mind, a blatant and cynical move.
Besides, a TRUE sportsman, at "tgat" Abu Dahbi race would have got to the line and braked hard to ensure the rightful driver would have won the championship rather than take it because the race director had made a catastrophic error.

The really great drivers have always pushed the rules to the limit - Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher were both utterly ruthless at times - in that context Max Verstappen is no different. The one exception was Jim Clark who's ability was simply several classes better than other drivers of the era.

Personally I don't like Max, I'd have liked to see Lando Norris win the drivers' championship - but his Brazil race performance will become a classic, no doubt about that

Anyone remember Stirling Moss from the sixties?
Yes! Before F1 became oversanitized. Jim Clark, James Hunt Graham Hill Damon Hill Jacques Villneuve. All great street fighters from famous teams where winning was a true team and management joint effort.
Pit stops, stuck refuelling pipes, prematurely dropped jacks, crossed wheel nuts, stuck steering wheels. Blown engines smoking to the last heard. No fun anymore imo.
