what car

Hi scott.

I have a 2.2dT Grande espace (Earleir engine to the one your asking about) I find to be very good as towcar. The weight of the vehicle stamps it authority on all tehe trailers I have used, and that include twin axle trailers upt to the 2000Kg, limit. The biggest difficulty I have encountered is pulling away up hill on loose gravel, where the vehicle scrabbles for grip, but that would apply to any front wheel drive vehicle. The dci engine has a better reputaion than mine for power so I don't think you would be dissapointed.

I havn't driven a 1.9 Galaxy, but many people also rate them highly (See also Seat and VW versions) and don't forget the Fiat Citreon & Fiat MPV offerings.

I tow a sterling sapphire 1450kg with a ford galaxy 1.9td on the whole it tows really well sometimes needs a few extra revs pulling away on an incline.

For space it is excellent.
