What did I do wrong in my previous life.

I have already cancelled a holiday a day after booking it as duaghter number one informed us she is expecting the day we booked.

I was looking forward to our next trip up to the Cairngorms on Tuesday, and then I went and broke two ribs and tore the muscle that covers them right round to my chest. We decided we will struggle on and somehow get the awning up, and then, and then, its blowing a gale and snowing up there.

Nobody can have this much caravanning bad luck.

If I use screw in pegs with the drill rather than belt them in with a lump hammer, would this make me a figure of ridicule or would I be excused under the circumstances.

Definitely excused - although to be honest if I walked past I either wouldn't notice or would think now that's a good idea.......As for bad luck we too have suffered this year - things can only get better.... ๐Ÿ™‚

I would have helped you to hammer in the rock pegs. Or helpt to stow the awning under the van and gone inside for a Hot toddy. . Then taken the dogs to the local pub, My Kilt is a Heavey one.
Hutch.

I was miserable. The wife said, "Smile, it could be worse!". So I smiled and it got worse. Seriously do what you think you can as long as you enjoy it. No point in doing things that you don't enjoy unless paid handsomely for it.

Ah a good weekend away when the weather is good and all turns to Rxx Shxx. Just keep smilling and invite some tenters in for the night, when the field is getting flooded..
All good friends in a bad situation.
Hutch.
