What have I missed, or have I ???

Following sound advise on the forum about using silicon spray to keep window rubbers supple and stop them cracking. I went to do the battery locker door and realised that the rubber ran along the front and the top and part way down the the back edge a third of it missing, or is it??? If I've lost it, I don't know when, it has never leaked, so is this how it left the factory???

The battery locker only has partial sealing.
The lower part of the opening is not sealed to allow any hydrogen to disperse.

Just imagine what may happen should pressure build up behind the door and you open it to get a face full of acid and hydrogen...……...not good for the complexion.

That's what I thought, as the title. The door has never leaked, the rubber is secure, just wanted to make sure. spose I'll give the van another polish tomorrow.

Thanks Damian

Please all stay safe.

You are lucky it never leaked, only our Lunars have managed that. Pity the rest of the build was not to the same standard.
