what non 4x4 tow car??

hi all

i tow a 2002 compass rallye 634 with a 1800kg weight

what older estate can tow this well with a budget of £4000 ?

im thinking volvo v70/bmw 540 touring/omega v6 estate etc etc

thanks rob

because i have a discovery tdi all ready and want something more car like again

this is my only car so some extra performance when not towing would be nice

was also thinking of the audi a6 v6tdi too

If you're considering an Omega V6 estate, you'll have to rule out an automatic because that has a max. permissible towload of only 1650kg. The manual version has a 1750kg limit which, allowing for 75kg noseweight, would only just get you over the 1800kg that you need. The manual V6 saloon has a bigger margin (1850kg towload limit).

Try an audi allroad, best tow car I have had.
