The nearest CC site I think is Keilder Water in Northumberland, it is quite a large site which is situated on Europes largest man made lake (keilder) and also it is very family orientated, not ideal for us wrinklies, hope that helps.
We stayed at Englethwaite Hall Caravan club site, did the visit to Hadrians wall and surrounding area. About half an hour from the site. Bye the way the site is lovely, with nice bays.
