I currently tow my Lunar Quasar 524, quite nicely with a 56 plate Mondeo 2.o litre TDCi estate, but various electric/starter/motor battery problems have started to make me consider changing for a more reliable tug. I still have to use the car for a 60 mile daily commute for another year, so can't go too extreme with a tug-only criterion. Equally I don't want to have to change it in a couple of years if we get a heavier van. Budget about £15k plus mondeo trade-in , about £5.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
