What to look for ?

Hello one and all

We are thinking about / getting a used caravan .I know its not a fortune (it is to us actualy) but we want to spend approx £1500 /£2500 on a a 2 berth 13ft .

Now what do i look for as regards checking it over for ie damp /damage /things wearing and so on .We will more then likly be buying private ,so obviously there will be few guarentees if any.Any help / advice would be appricieated as i loath to be sold a pup.

suggest checking the following:

-If the CRiS no. is etched onto the windows, check that they all give the same number. Ask to see the CRiS certificate.

-Check the tyre condition. Remember that they should be replaced after 5 years regardless of their visual condition or wear. So a pair of new tyres will cost over

Thanks very much John ,Advice taken on board ,As regards damp is it a case of following your nose ,literary,if it smalls damp it must be ??
if there is damp there you can usually feel the softness of the wall if you press on it with your finger,beware of air freshners in caravans for sale as well???
