Wheel arch cover

This may seem a bit dumb but I can't figure out how to fit the wheel arch cover. On the old van we had a bit of skirt which we just used to stuff it around the wheel but the Bradcot awning with the "new" van has a cover about 5 foot long and two figure 8 mouldings which are each about 2 1/2 ft long. Help!!

figure of eight attaches to long skirt which is threaded through rail along bottom of van.thread full skirt through one side, then thread figure of eight onto it then thread through other side of rail, you then have fully threaded skirt with figure of eight positioned at the wheel.now thread wheel piece onto figure of eight and attach to van using suckers or velcro,do not drill holes to attach studs, this is not nescessary.see above link foe ready made wheel arch cover with suckers

Thanks Clarky

That also explains the three press studs already on the side of the van. As they are already in place I suppose I may as well use them

hi derrick

yes,if the studs are there you may as well, just check that they have been sealed with apropriate non hardning caravan sealant(caraflex or similar),as this could be a source of water ingress to van if they have not been sealed when fitted.

I've often wondered why manufactures don't make an optional clip-on wheel arch cover from a rigid material along the lines of the ones fitted to the rear of cars in the early sixties. That way they could fit the skirt rail the full length of the van.
