I own a Lunar Solar
524. Single axle and steel wheels. The Lunar handbook gives the
recommended torque for the wheel nuts as 88 Nm. The service chap
tightened them to 115 Nm. I questioned this based on the handbook.
He referred me to a chart he had (dated June 2012) and said the recommendations
had all gone up. On looking at the chart I noticed that it too said 80
something Nm. He was adamant that he always did steel wheels to 115 Nm,
but adjusted them to 88 Nm.
Can anyone tell me the
recommended torque settings. Safety thing after all.
