where do spare wheels usually go?

my 1985 cotswold windrush doesnt have a spare wheel, or its missing, where are they usually mounted?, underneath or can you get a hanging kit type of thing/, dont fancy being stranded!!!

On present day vans they are slung underneath between the chassis members just to the rear of the axle this is the norm on Alko chassis vans on vans from the year yours was made I do not know what chassis was used.

Hi Richard

I think it is unlikely that your van was supplied with a spare wheel, as most vans at that time would have had just a box mounted on the A frame for the gas bottles-no room for a spare.Your best bet for advice on this is probably to contact
