Which car can tow a caravan with a MTPLM weight of 1900kg?

just saw your post about the disco, I have one and its not bad but remember if it is the 200 or 300 tdi then dont be fooled by the nose weight stated in the press of 150 kgs it is 75 kgs. If you have the td5 then it is the disco 2 that is the one with the 150 kg weight allowance

We have owned both 200 & 300 series, both had 150kg noseweight clearly stated in the handbooks.

I tow a Crusader Storm with a 2004 Kia Sedona it tows a treat no problem. Hasn't got a fancy badge but does the job without complaining.

A nissan Terrano 3.0 di sve will tow this no problem braked towing capacity is 3000kg 32mpg you'll pick up a 02/03 for around 7k only downside is the road tax which come 2010 will be

Sorry Avril but the Terrano is only about 1750 KG and the Kuga around 1600 and it only has tiddly bhp, a bit limited for a heavy van!

We tow our big twin axle with a Volvo XC90, 185bhp I think.

What Terrano did you base these figures on? the car weight is 1878kg with 154bhp we have had three of these and tow with a fairly heavy van, carry bikes and boats and had no issues, mind you with a van at 1900kg it needs to be a substantial car I agree at a van this size the Kuga is no good but then again the Mitsubishi Pajero previously used only has a 123bhp with a poor mpg
