Which sealant is best ?

I will have to replace one of the roof lights on my caravan very shortly.
I did intend using Sikaflex 512 but I recently read on the Swift forum that the Swift factory use Simpson ISR 70-03. Your opinions are welcome as to the best product to use, or are they about equal?

I use either Sikaflex 221 or 512 and never found either of them lacking but any equal specification, good quality polyurethane sealant or sealant/ adhesive would be up to the task.

Just make sure all surfaces are clean, dry & degreased .... and wear latex type gloves .......better quality than the ones I usually do, as the one thing Sikaflex sticks to better than anything is flesh... 🙂

White spirit in a hand spray gun is useful for tooling edges and removing excess sealant.

SIlkaflex has always served me well. Never had an issue with it both on the van and in other situations where I want it to last and do its job well.
