Which towcar would be best

I tow an Avondale Carlton max weight 1100kg.What would be the best tow car in a 1.8tdci CMax 1.6Hdi 308 or a Zafira 1.9.Any advice as to how they tow and how economical would be greatly welcomed.
 
From various tow tests I believe that the C-Max would be best, and it certainly gives the best solo ride. See the Warranty Direct web site for th reliabilty index which is based on cars older than 3 years as this is when the manufacturers warranty tends to expire. Parkers will also give info on good and bad points.
