We have a Bradcot and it has given sterling service.

The end walls seperate from the roof so that the roof section slides in on its own beading and then you slide the beading of the end walls into the channel an attach to the roof.

We've noticed lately that some awnings have a one piece roof and end wall beading and have watched or lent a hand to people trying to pull the awning in from the ground up along and down again.

The new Isabella "Vision" looks very attractive though and the "IsaFix" system looks good. http://www.isabella.net/uk/awnings/index.html

Thanks for all the advice, looking like a Dorema is the most likely candidate for me now.

Cheers again
Lawrence, we have a Dorema Madison with 5 poles and compared to our previous 3 pole one (no problems) this one is more sensitive to tensioning and order of assembly. Howver I bougght a Hecules tensioning tool from Towsure and it hjust gives ita little more tension than I can achive without risking the fabric. Result no more problems even in monsoon conditions.

Isabella by a MILE, then Trio. If you can find a good condition Larsen then go for it but they are not made now.

Buy the best you can afford. Our Blacks Safari Emperor frame tent is 34 years old and still amazes me.

You can look at as many different awnings as you like lawrence, an awning is an awning, required to give us more living space in a caravan---you can buy a new NR (or whatever)----if look after it for x number of years it will serve you well and still look good----buy a new isabella---exactly the same, except you will have paid an extra
