I wonder how many of us got a Sat Nav for Christmas.Just think of the money we will all save this coming season. How i hear you all ask. Well its simple we no longer need our other halves to read the map to get us to the sites, so we can just book for one person.

Your Thoughts !!!

My thoughts?

I'm guessing your better half isn't watching what you type Andy.

Brave or foolish, I'm not quite sure. All I know is, I like cheese.

Who is going to do the Washing, Cooking and Ironing ?? She is still coming, I never took any notice of her directions anyway !!!

Should you ever meet her don't tell her what I said, please !!!

Frank, Vals doing supper bless her

Andy if you don't take your wife please take someone else because you will need them for the last few miles to the site to follow the written directions. Whatever you do don't rely on the SatNav :O(

Here, here on that your lordship.

I once relied on my Garmin I 3 to navigate from Kidderminster to Shrewsbury and it tried to take me to Ceolbury the Ludlow to pick up the A49. This was miles off route as I thought so I re-set parrameters to include minor roads and ended up on single track roads as the Garmin still believed you could achieve 60mph even on these roads.

I often hear turn left/right on my satnav only to see the turn is in fact a bend.

So using a map and reading local directional info is still the preserve of "ere in doors"

Must admit to one irritating thing about my sat nav. She who shall be obeyed has found that it is a dab hand at locating charity shops. Mr Garmin!! found all TEN charity shops in Shrewsbury last week and for ages I had the misses convinced that there was only the one at the top end of town.

So now Mr Garmin is her best mate. Grrr.

Steve.

I nearly got one, but H.T.S.B.O. remembered that I ALWAYS argue with the navigator. I think that the thought of me having a punch up with an inanimate object was too much to bear.
