Hi
I have just been away on a site and when I tried to use my motor mover, the remote switched on and made its clicks as normal, but didn't engage the relay. Having looked on line, it might be that the mover is in lockout.
However I also noticed that the 13 pin plug didn't seen to connect when I pit in back on the caravan towbar socket. It connects perfectly to the car, but not to the caravan. That got me thinking. Why do we need to connect the plug to the caravan towbar socket to run the motor mover, shouldn't the mover just run from the leisure battery. I am just struggling to understand what the point of the towbar socket on the caravan is for. If i just disconnected it from my car once towing complete and then just left it unconnected from the towbar pin socket what would that result it??
Sorry of this is a daft question, just trying to understand how the 13 pin towbar socket works and why my motor mover doesn't work now
thanks
John
