We have done so for several months, but the MG is only marginally better on fuel , but it's a lot more fun :devilish:

Booked to go away for a week over Easter. Back to one of our favorite CL sites near Amble. £12 a night inc electric which is an absolute bargain. Shame it's 240 miles away so the fuel is going to kill us. Spaffing my bonus payout from work on the fuel.
Amazing! The CL we used over four days until yesterday had a pay meter. £5.. a day with full heating. Your guys must be losing money😥😥

Fuel prices where we are range from £149.9 to £170. Today went to Dunelms which is about 20 miles away, the A127 usually is 70 plus when able , today we kept in cruise control at 50 mph. Only a few came pass us as most have moderated their speed it seems. Our computer said 69.94 mpg.
I believe you have the right idea, throttle back by 10 mph, will save a fair bit on fuel, not much difference on time.
I have been used to it on the M1 between Junction 13 to J16.

I have only ever seen motorhomes on the hardstanding , which is next to the house in the farmyard.
The grass pitches are quite sloped at the top of the field, better at the bottom of the field but then the views aren't so good.
Water is slooooooow but with views of open countryside and out to Coquet Island it's more of a pleasure than a chore.
Unfortunately the owner lost her husband a couple of weeks ago and is quite elderly, so just hope her son takes on theCL
