Hi all.. My first spring carvaning ventures have begun and i can't believe i left it so long. I bought a 2006 Avondale Arrow 556 last year and this is my first ever van... Loving it and the whole caravnning comunity.
I have started to do some running repairs myself and the next task i have to fix 2 delaminating windows.
I have found a number of helpful(and conflicting) tips so far but none are clear and if to fix the delaminating area only or completly split the 2 sections of window apart and re-fix the whole lot.
While the later sound more complete spiltting the screen could cause further damage. Any advice would welome especially if you have tips on doing this with splitting the screen (adhesives / methods).. Thanks in advance
 
Do you mean "delaminating" -i.e. a layered structure where the layers are separating or is it a double glazed unit where the inner and outer acrylic/Perspex is separating from the edge?

Different approach for each... I can comment on the former and not on the latter...
 
A delaminating window is where the two panes separate as the window ages and can be done with care and the right glue, but it is never a permanent fix, also it is impossible to completely separate the two panes as they are held at the top by the hinge bar which is pressed on during manufacture.

EECO will effect a repair providing that a previous repair has not been tried, worth giving them a ring
