Window misting puzzle

I washed my new aquisition - a Lunar Chateau 450 - tonight when I got it home and the front windows misted over slightly. I used a car washing brush attached to the hosepipe (cold water). Three hours later and there is still a sign of misting. The van is just three years old and the laminated joints of the double skin window units look fine so I am absolutely puzzled and anxious that it might occur often. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi Keith

We had that problem with our last caravan. Apparently it is caused by water vapour in the space between the panes. The dealer suggested the following. On the window itself there should be a little plastic plug, this can be removed. They then suggested that you use a hair dryer and blow the warm air into the space. This will dry up any water vapour. Then replace the small plastic bung.

Hope this helps.

Stephen
