That's just it. Even the CC with all their legal eggheads are struggling.

When I next hitch up I'll chalk out the distances they state and see what it looks like in both the Sories and the smat mirrors.

No need for them to struggle. They just need to do their homework and clarify what is meant by 'adequate view to the rear'. Without such clarification, one could argue that if you can see through the caravan using the inside rear view mirror, then you do not have to have a nearside mirror, no matter how wide the caravan is. That, however, could not have been their intention.

Milenko Grand Aero mirrors?

Do they fit all vehicles (ie Volvo V70 D5 SE 2009 model) and do they tend to vibrate a lot?

I tow my 'van witha Nissan Navara and the view with the vehicles mirros is pretty good. However, when I fitted a pair of towing mirrors I could see much much more of the road around and behind me.
