WINTER INSPAIN

Hi,

Were also going to Spain in January and wonder what sort of cloths we may need both whilst traveling through France and more inportantly at La Managa.

Depending on your route through France - warm if going cross country down to the Med, less so if going down the west coast.

In Spain English spring to early summer with the odd fleece for cool evenings. Can't speak for la manga but not very far away usually gets near 20C some days and only down to about 10C overnight.

We find that to certain extent the waether follows the same pattern as the UK. If there is a cold spell or snow in the UK then Spain will be cold, not as cold as the UK of course but colder than usual.

A couple of years ago there was a fall of snow on the beach at Calpe which was ther first for 40 years we were told.

You can expect periods of rain but they dont tend to last as long.

We find that you can be sat in your lounger sunbathing but the air is cooler so your back will be cold.

Having said all the black things - it's still much better than the UK so go and enjoy.
