Knowing during winter months in Germany, being all season caravanners, do we need winter tyres on the caravans / trailers. Nevever thought about it before. ?

Interesting question but never thought about it and do not know the answer. Possibly better in the foreign touring section where the people who might know will see it.
If you are a member of either of the clubs their technical helplines might know.

Thanks Sproket, i got a nice reply from Dianne T , in the Belgium/ Luxemborg, thread. Its almost clear as mud these foriegn regs. I know a neighbor of mine got let off with a finger wagging by the police in Germany last Xmas, in his Audi, not towing. Probably because it was and Audi.

I talked to a Norwegian motor caravanner here on site in Spain who tows a heavy four wheel trailer behind his motor van. He travels down through Germany and he has winter tyres on the motorvan but just normal tyres on the trailer.
