Hi Just got the new Towsure catalogue

Winter wheels 2007...£49 Same model 2008 ....£99

Now thats an increase!

A quick look on the web seems to agree with the new price, just wish I'd bought them two months ago!

I'm thinknig maybe some bits of old steel with some holes drilled in and a couple of locking wheel nuts might work.

I wonder if Towsure do price matching? If not I guess they will be out of pocket on this item. Has anyone shopped around to find a more reasonable priced set? I'm heading for Google and will let you know if I find this item cheaper!

Surprisingly, Towsure have comeback to me this morning on my query on the Highlander Winter Wheels & Lock price hike. They have requested further information with regard to their 'code' number. This has been supplied.

There is a much easier and cheaper way.. Jack the van up, you have to do this anyway, and put axle stands under the axle. You can then leave the wheel clamp on, and there are no problems with having to recheck tightmess of wheel bolts after first few journeys. The use of axle stands also has the added advantage of not only keeping the pressure off the tyres and so extending their life, but also allowing the rubber suspension system to relax. I have found that a 2 inch (5cm) clearance between tyre and ground in November is reduced to zero by spring. Axle stands

Loads of stuff has really increased in price in the new Towsure catalogueI've noticed. Besides the winter wheels the 110amp batteries have nearly doubled in price from the old catalogue
