wiring problem

my wee boy broke the switch for 12v on my fridge. i took the old switch to my local halfords on got a replacment. when i took the old 1 off the wires were hidden and now i am not sure what goes where. there is 3 wires all black.

Same happened to me - well the light in the switch broke. Got replacement and had to work out the wiring. You need a volt meter and the car plugged in and engine running to work out what wires do what. One is a earth for the bulb return, the other is the Live from the car and the last one will be the switched feed to the Fridge. Good luck.

thanks. notice as well the cd and receiver unit for tv have no power. would these all be linked

Colin . when you are hooked up to you car nothing should work only the fridge .
