Thanks Parksy. Please pass on all our best wishes if you speak to her again.
I certainly will, she'll probably look in herself from time to time when she has the chance.

Although Cynthia is single and eligible I wouldn't think that she'd welcome added complications but you never know.
Cynthia told me that she has become very involved in local community work and hopes to spend less time online and more time getting out and about. She has also taken up rallying and is meeting lots of new people in her area.

Had the van seviced today and finally found the source of the bathroom damp...Sir Fixalot grrrr. Guess who didn't always empty the fresh water toilet tank? Of course as we drove the water sloshed out of the top and into the cavity, to be soaked up by the wood. Luckily our engineer has shiwn him how to remove the loo to fix it, however 'one is NOT amused'!

I find it surprising that the cause of your damp is from not emptying your fresh water flushing tank, as I and probably thousands of others never empty our tanks before towing (except winter) and have never heard of damp from this source.

Apparently its because the water tank doesn't have a lid, so the water sloshes out.

Claire
What model toilet have you?
The only "lid" I know of is the filler cap on the outside wall.

its a Thetford 220 I believe. Our caravan guy says that within the outer tank (visible in the bathroom) there is another tank, and that has no lid. He's shown Mat how to get the toilet out, but hopefully that won't happen! :(

Never heard of it before. Can't work out how it can 'slop,' unless you mean leak into the bowl, then it's got to be pumped hasn't it to get there?

At least you didn't go to all the set up procedure then realise the pump was still in the shed at home like I did!
I have been keeping my eye on ebay and other various sources for a second hand one of those electric pumps that you have. I suppose that there are not too many in circulation so I look like biting the bullet and buying one new.
